Through Breath Yoga was born in a little living room in Wichita's North Riverside neighborhood. Sher, a newly certified teacher, knew intimately the transformative power of Kundalini Yoga and with a giving heart, he wanted to share it with those he loved the most. Removing all furniture and holding space in his home, he consistently packed in his friends and flow family mat to mat, heart to heart. His dedication and passion for sharing his inner successes led to the decision to transplant Through Breath Yoga into a brick and mortar dream come true.
MEETING THE MENTOR
March 2020 marked the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and Through Breath Yoga's journey at 1940 W. 13th St. N. As the year raged on, people became isolated from one another, and with his next level responsibilities, Sher had to quickly pivot. Creating an extensive video collection of yogic practices, he helped his group of yogis connect inwardly while the outer world stood still. During that time, he put another certification under his belt and was able to pull the studio through economic hardship. With his dedication and steadfast heart, Through Breath Yoga is still in operation today, in the same place, in the heart of Riverside.
CROSSING THE THRESHOLD
2024 heralded a brand new chapter at Through Breath Yoga. Sher's life partner, Hope, was entrusted with the task of becoming the studio's very first Director. His decision came at a small price, he would pick up a part-time job to help support the home. This decision served two purposes. First, it secured a steadfast keeper, bringing needed stability during the summer months while he fills his cups working with 3HO and Rekinection; performing fire arts and executing demanding event coordination. The second purpose ensures that Through Breath Yoga would have a continued legacy, if tragedy should ever strike.
Hope brings 20 years of experience working with the public and a passion for creating a space where both the Through Breath Yoga team and community can thrive. A certified Level 1 Kundalini instructor from Sat Tirath Ashram, she is dedicated to fostering growth, connection, and inclusivity in every interaction.
Her leadership style emphasizes reliability, clear communication, and ensuring everyone feels seen, supported, and empowered—whether on the mat or within the studio space. Hope blends her expertise in yoga and leadership to create a welcoming environment where both students and staff can flourish, believing that when individuals grow, the entire community thrives.

Collaborator
A collaborator is someone who periodically holds space in tandem with the Through Breath Yoga team. Collaborators operate under an informal verbal agreement and contribute to the studio’s mission and values without the formalities of a contractual arrangement.

Being fully engaged and attentive in the moment. It involves active listening and responding to students’ needs, fostering a supportive and mindful atmosphere.
In spiritual awareness, the Self, with a capital "S," refers to a higher state of consciousness beyond personal identity. It embodies an individual's true essence or core being, often considered the unchanging, connected source of wisdom, unity, and inner peace.
Practices that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
A student is anyone who joins our yoga space or outside events with a willingness to learn, explore, and grow. Whether new to yoga or experienced, a student embodies curiosity, openness, and a commitment to deepening their connection with the Self, mind, and body.
A teacher/instructor is a guide who shares their knowledge, experience, and presence to support others on their journey. At our studio, teachers foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment, empowering students to discover their own wisdom and strength through practice.
An individual who rents or uses space in the studio under a formal agreement. While Through Breath Yoga may occasionally mention or acknowledge the lessee’s offerings, it is not directly involved in the marketing, promotion, or advertisement of any classes, workshops, or events hosted by the lessee. The lessee retains full responsibility for organizing, marketing, and executing their activities. They also are required to have their own insurance.

Through Breath Yoga promises clear and open communication regarding policies, financial transactions, and contractual agreements.
Purpose: To ensure clear communication, transparency, and continual improvement of the studio’s operations, feedback, and teaching practices. We believe that open and honest communication is essential to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and connected community.

1. General Terms
Acceptance of Terms: By using our website and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.
Modification of Terms: We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and it is your responsibility to review them periodically.
2. Services
Yoga: We offer both in-person and online sessions, including but not limited to group classes, private sessions, workshops, and retreats.
Corporate Events and Group Bookings: We require a minimum of three participants for all corporate events and group sessions. If attendance drops below three, the event will still be charged as if three participants were present.
Booking and Payments: All bookings must be made through our website or directly with us. Payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your spot.
3. Minor Children Policy
Ages 14 and under may participate in our services. Children under the age of 18 require an additional adult participant registration.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations by Clients: If you need to cancel your regular session, please do so at least 48 hours in advance to receive a full refund or reschedule. If you are cancelling your event with us, your deposit will be forfeit. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee or become non-refundable.
Cancellations by Through Breath Yoga: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any session due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
Weather Cancellations: In the event of severe weather conditions, including heavy rain, snow, high winds, or lightning, Leadership reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event for safety reasons. If cancelled due to weather, ticket holders will be eligible for a full refund, with the option to apply the ticket price towards a future event.
5. Health and Safety
Personal Responsibility: By participating in our services, you acknowledge that Yoga involves physical activity and relaxation techniques that carry risks. You agree to inform the instructor of any medical conditions or limitations before participating.
Medical Advice: Our services are not a substitute for medical advice or treatment. Please consult with a healthcare provider before starting any new wellness program.
For your safety, If you are deemed to be impaired due to substance use, you will be asked to leave and return when you have become sober.
6. Privacy Policy
